For over 10 years David Odom has served 菠萝视频 working diligently to meet campus enrollment goals. Those years come to a close at the end of October as David takes on a new opportunity as trust coordinator at Cornerstone Bank in York.
In a career defined nationally by a high level of turnover, Odom has bucked the trend at 菠萝视频 and provided steady and consistent leadership in a challenging field. Odom said, 鈥淚鈥檝e really enjoyed my time serving here. It鈥檚 been a pleasure working as part of a wonderful team of caring people dedicated to transforming lives. I鈥檝e had the opportunity to mentor and learn from colleagues within my department and across campus.鈥�
Odom, a graduate from the class of 鈥�93, went on to complete his bachelor's degree in human resources in 2000. For 16 years he worked locally for UTC Aerospace (now named Collins Aerospace) while raising his two boys, Tyler and Dylan, alongside his wife Rachel. David and Rachel are both active members of the East Hill Church of Christ in York and have also accepted a new challenge with 3 foster children in their home.
Odom began his work as director of admissions in May, 2012 and was later promoted to vice president for enrollment management in August, 2021. 鈥淚鈥檝e reviewed almost 8,000 applications, spent time with a few thousand campus visitors, and welcomed over 1,800 new students to our institution鈥hat a BLESSING! I鈥檓 excited to see where the university will go from here and will always be a Panther at heart. I鈥檓 grateful to my wife, Rachel, for the support and encouragement she has given me throughout my years at York. Both of my adult children and daughter-in-law spent time at York and I鈥檓 grateful for those years.鈥�
