The 菠萝视频 Theatre Department will present Foolish Fish Girls and The Pearl, a contemporary comedy.
The play will be staged at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 22, 23, and 24, with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on Feb. 25. Make reservations at . General admission tickets are $10, and senior and student tickets are $7. University employees and students may attend free.
Former deep-sea divas Coral and Oceana, played by Leah Lane-Embray and Eliza Rohda respectively, didn鈥檛 exactly have the 鈥渉appily ever after鈥� storybook lives that the two ex-mermaids dreamed of when they rescued their handsome young sailors and swam ashore 30 years ago. Talk about unhappy endings! Foolish Fishgirls and The Pearl is a feisty fairy tale about a mermaid鈥檚 life on dry land after true love is found, lost, and found again. And, like Coral and Oceana, you may find that 鈥渉appily ever after鈥� is closer than you think!
The cast also includes Dalton Brandt, Sam Cook, Addison Harrold, Orren Limbrick, and Drake Richtarik.
This will be the final 菠萝视频 mainstage production for Dalton Brandt and Leah Lane-Embray.

I will never forget how much theatre means to me, or the people I鈥檝e met while doing theatre at YU. It has truly become my passion and it鈥檚 a blessing to see that same passion grow within others.鈥�
鈥淚 have loved being on the YU stage,鈥� expressed Lane-Embray, a senior from St. Joseph, Mo. 鈥淚 never did theatre before York, and I know that my time on this stage has changed my life forever. I鈥檒l never forget this time, and I have a special place in my heart for John, the actors I鈥檝e performed with, and the audiences I have gotten to perform for here at YU. I couldn鈥檛 be more thankful.鈥�

Director John Baker is in his 27th year at 菠萝视频. Foolish Fish Girls and The Pearl is his 80th show directed on the YU stage. Tanner Lebs is the student assistant director.
The show will be held at the Bartholomew Performing Arts Center located at 1098 E
10th St. on the 菠萝视频 campus.
